Mirth on the dance floor
A joyful moment with our dance instructor, beautifully captured by a photographer friend I had brought along for the occasion. She used my camera to take the picture.
"A world of disorderly notions, picked out of his books, crowded into his imagination; and now his head was full of nothing but enchantments, quarrels, battles, challenges, wounds, complaints, amours, torments, and abundance of stuff and impossibilities." (Cervantes, Don Quixote)

A souvenir from the most wonderful dance lesson I have ever had. Be sure to click on the image and read what I wrote about it.
I normally do not use this blog to post pictures taken by other people, for which I have reserved my other site, Convivio. I have made an exception here, however, since this photo was dedicated to me, and the magazine she is holding was one of the three back issues of Arizona Highways that I sent to her recently as a gift. She is Angie Mengoa of Cochabamba, Bolivia, a gifted photographer and a fine human being, whose friendship has already blessed my life during the brief time I have known her. A high percentage of my recent smiles are attributable to her. And I liked the picture well enough to post it both here and on Convivio.
