March - Lion and Lamb

Since it's the last day of March, I remembered the old saying, "In like a lion, out like a lamb, or in like a lamb, out like a lion." Here in the beautiful Ohio, we had the former. Today was a beautiful (but windy) day, with loads of sunshine.

May your 1st day of April not bring too many fools!! :)

This might seem kind of odd, but I never really think of April 1 as being April Fool's Day; instead, I am more inclined to note it as the anniversary of the day the Okinawa campaign began -- the last battle of a titanic conflict, which incidentally started exactly 60 years ago today. Which, of course, makes the day a rather solemn one, at least in my view.

Glad to hear you are having good weather in Ohio, though. I am actually spending a few days in Utah, and when I got off the plane in Salt Lake City last night, the chill in the air informed me immediately that I wasn't in Phoenix anymore! :-) Not that it was particularly cold -- "refreshingly cool" is a better way to describe it -- but this was about as cold as it ever gets in Phoenix, and that's before dawn on a typical day in January!
