I have been trying to learn the art of portraiture, which I probably would have gotten around to eventually anyway; but I have a special reason to want to do so now, which I can perhaps explain later. Meanwhile, as part of that effort, yesterday I took this photo of a co-worker. She and I both liked it when we saw it on my camera's LCD screen, but I practically fell in love with the image when I saw it on the computer screen at home a couple of hours later. I regard it as one of the best portraits I have ever done, and I was tickled to learn this morning that it had been posted on another blog before making its appearance here.
