Art as God's gift
For today's blog entry, I'm appropriating this post by Julie, at Happy Catholic, as my own. I knew I liked Pope Benedict, and this is one more reason for me to feel that way. Having recently taken up photography as a serious hobby, I've been thinking a lot lately about art and its role in our lives, and my own views pretty much correspond with his.

That makes sense to me also in my love of nature. Look at all the variety we have been given and all of it beautiful in some way, right down to variations in the rising and setting of the sun every day. We are surrounded by art.
